Lorraine Bracco, Penny Marshall to play lesbians on new sitcom

Penny Marshall and Lorraine Bracco will play a lesbian couple in a sitcom about the life of John Mulaney.

HOLLYWOOD, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Actresses Penny Marshall and Lorraine Bracco have been tapped to play a lesbian couple in Fox's upcoming comedy, "Mulaney."

The sitcom is based on the life of John Mulaney, who is also slotted to write and star in the show.

The story is about a comedian influenced by his boss, played by Martin Short, roommates, and neighbors, Bracco and Marshall.

"Mulaney" is slated to appear on Fox later this year.
