Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Legendary record producer Clive Davis is one of the industry's most powerful men, so it's no surprise that the stars lined up for his annual pre-Grammys gala at the Beverly Hills Hotel the night before the big awards show.
Miley Cyrus, Lorde, the Foo Fighters, Robin Thicke, Fantasia Barrino, Imagine Dragons, Lionel Richie, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, A Great Big World, R. Kelly, Jennifer Hudson, Pharrell Williams and T.I. performed at the four-and-a-half hour event Saturday night.
And that's just on stage. In the audience were Neil Diamond, Quincy Jones, Smokey Robinson, Rod Stewart, Rihanna, Herbie Hancock Russell Simmons, Ozzy Osbourne, Jamie Foxx, John Legend, Kris Kristofferson and Gladys Knight.
Imagine Dragons, who are up for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance, sang acoustic versions of their hit songs "It's Time" and Radioactive." Lionel Richie performed "Easy" and "All Night Long." Robin Thicke, up for three Grammys this year, sang "Blurred Lines" without his controversial VMAs partner -- Miley Cyrus followed up later with "Wrecking Ball" and a cover of Dolly Parton's Jolene.
“I hope y’all are doing better than you look,” she told the crowd.
Lucian Grainge, the CEO and chairman of Universal Music Group, was honored with an annual Salute to Industry Icons.
