Toni Tennille and Daryl Dragon, of the Captain & Tennille singing duo, are getting a divorce after 39 years together.
Tenille, 73, filled for divorce from Dragon, 71, in Arizona on January 16 claiming the marriage was "irretrievably broken."
"I don't know why she filed," Dragon told TMZ, "I gotta figure it out for myself first."
According to the divorce documents obtained by TMZ there's a special mention regarding health insurance coverage. Because Tenille famously announced in 2009 that Dragon was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and later reiterated in 2011 that his tremors were so bad that they were embarrassed to go outside, it could be possible that the singer filled for divorce so that Dragon could get better insurance coverage.

The last blog post on the couple's website features a message about their split.
"Until Thursday, January 16th, 2014, when Toni Tennile met with a DIVORCE ATTORNEY, in Phoenix, AZ, everything relating to THE CAPTAIN & TENNILLE appeared to the public as them being the ideal model for a 'rock-solid' married pair," the statement read. "But almost all people naturally evolve over time, & sometimes hidden feelings start to be uncovered when one may read, just a little more into (the popularized, substitute heading appearing just below), stating, for instance: 'MUSIC HAS KEPT THEM TOGETHER.'"
Tennille and Dragon are best known for their hit songs "Love Will Keep us Together," "Do It To Me One More Time," "Shop Around" and many others.
