With her 50th birthday just days away, first lady Michelle Obama is opening up about getting older and what the future has in store.

“I will be in my early fifties when I leave here and I have so much more that I should do,” she said. “I don’t have the right to just sit on my talents or blessings.”

The famously fit mom of two is already considering what kind of grandmother she hopes to someday be. She says she wants to emulate her mother, Marian Robinson, who "does exactly what she want to do every single day without apology."

Obama might just be turning 50 on Friday, but she unsurprisingly has plans on keeping up her fitness routine to stay looking fabulous into her 70s, 80s and beyond.

"I'm seeing myself shift from weight-bearing stuff -- even though that continues to be important -- and the heavy cardio and running, to things like yoga that will keep me flexible," she said. That way, "I'm not falling and breaking a hip one day."

And while going under the knife isn't in the cards, Obama said she's not ruling anything out.

“Right now, I don’t imagine that I would go that route,” she said when asked if she would consider fillers or Botox, or even surgery. “But I’ve learned to never say never.”

Obama is set to return Wednesday from her extended vacation in Hawaii, hanging out at Oprah Winfrey's house as a birthday gift from the president.
