Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Celebrities hitting the red carpet for Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards might have to watch for wet spots. Various entertainment correspondents reported that a pipe burst at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday afternoon, flooding the carpet with 5,000 gallons of water and sewage.

E! News' Kristin Dos Santos said the leak had "ruined" a "good one fifth" of the carpet.

The Beverly Hills Fire Department arrived on scene to help with the damage, using air blowers and wet vacuums to help ready the red carpet for the oncoming onslaught of celebs.
