Stana Katic 'blown away' by People's Choice Award win

Stana Katic recevied her first People's Choice "Favorite Dramatic TV Actress" award on Wednesday.

Stana Katic took home the coveted "Favorite Dramatic TV Actress" award during Wednesday's People's Choice Awards ceremony.

And because the star knows it was her fans that gave her the prize through their votes, she decided to take a moment to thank them via Twitter.

The 35-year-old has played Detective Kate Beckett on ABC's detective drama, Castle, since the show's inception in 2009. She's received several awards for her performance on the series including the Prism Award for Best Performance in a Drama Episode, the TV Guide Award for Favorite Couple Who Should (shared with Nathan Fillion), the TV Guide Award for Favorite TV Couple (shared with Nathan Fillion), and is currently nominated for a Satellite Award for Best Actress -- Television Series Drama.

Castle had four nominations during Wednesday's award show. In addition to Katic's award, the series also won the "Favorite TV Crime Drama" prize.
