Jan. 9 (UPI) -- We're still months away from the Disney Channel's highly anticipated Boy Meets World spinoff, starring original cast members Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel. But on Thursday, Savage shared a Girl Meets World Instagram photo that's sure to whet fans' appetites.
Savage stands next to onscreen wife, Fishel, and onscreen daughter, Rowan Blanchard. Blanchard, 12, will play Cory and Topanga's daughter, Riley, who attends middle school in New York City.
“As soon as Rowan walked into the room, I was reminded of why Ben Savage was loved as Cory Matthews,” producer Michael Jacobs said of Blanchard last year. “Rowan is real and accessible and I am hopeful this girl is about to meet a world that will love growing up with her as well.”
The writers of the show also recently debuted a Twitter account, where they've been drumming up excitement for possible character arcs and guest stars.
