Chloe Gosselin to marry David Copperfield

David Copperfield has popped the question!

The illusionist announced in an interview with Hello! magazine that he and his partner of six years, French model Chloe Gosselin, are engaged.

"Oh, that was a long time ago," he said, of his six-year relationship with Claudia Schiffer in the 1990s. "Now I'm engaged and in a committed relationship with Chloe in my mind and heart."

Gosselin, with whom Copperfield, 57, has a three-year-old daughter, Sky, couldn't be more thrilled.

"I'm so lucky to have found David," Gosselin, 28, gushed. "There are very few people in the world like him."

"People come up to him, tell him they admire him, that he's a role model for them -- and he just smiles, because he's truly modest," she said. "It's as if he doesn't realize how smart he is, the talent that he has."

The couple live together at Copperfield Bay, an 11-island archipelago in the Caribbean. No word yet when the plan to tie the knot.
