Eva Longoria has not been cast by Latin American media giant Televisa to play three different parts in three of the network's telenovelas.

Days after the Latin Post published an article on Longoria's alleged new gig, the 38-year-old actress took to Twitter to claim it was all lies.

After her tweet, the publication amended their article claiming it was the original source -- The Latin Times -- and not them, who had produced the mistaken information.

The Post also made mention of being "taken in by an 'April Fool's' joke of sorts." The original article, published Dec. 28, includes a disclaimer explaining the Latin American tradition of "Innocent's Day," the regional equivalent of April Fools' Day.

The original story reported that Longoria, who is reportedly dating Jose Antonio Bastón, 45 -- the president of television and contents at Televisa -- would star in the network's Cuna de Lobos and Por Derecho De Sangre.
