Stevie Nicks officiates Vanessa Carlton's wedding

The Fleetwood Mac singer married musicians Vanessa Carlton and John McCauley on Friday.

Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Vanessa Carlton married Deer Tick musician John McCauley on Friday in a ceremony officiated by Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks.

"Thanks Stevie for marrying us!" tweeted the "A Thousand Miles" singer.

McCauley posted Instagram photos of Nicks, 65, signing the marriage license and posing with the happy couple.

"Married! Thank you to the Honorable Reverend Stevie Nicks for doin' us the deed!!!" he wrote.

"Here is Stevie Nicks doing my marriage paperwork," he added. "It's a misdemeanor in the state of Arizona if she messes it up. She's a bada** reverend. It was an awesome ceremony. Thank you Stevie! And thank you all for the good wishes! xxoo."

Nicks isn't the only celeb to do the honors. Sir Ian McKellan famously officiated friend and costar Patrick Stewart's wedding back in September, while Benedict Cumberbatch became ordained to marry friends Seth Cummings and Rob Rinder.
