Fans were able to participate in this year's selection by voting for their favorite acts. Five of the fan-nominated performers made it to the final ballot of the Class of 2014 possible inductees. Three of the five artists from the fans' ballot made the final cut, the Hall of Fame said.

Since the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum was founded on April 20, 1983, 719 people have been inducted.
