Mary-Kate Olsen goes ring shopping, sparks engagement rumors

Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Mary-Kate Olsen could soon be Mary-Kate Sarkozy.

The former Full House star sparked rumors that she was getting engaged to 44-year-old Olivier Sarkozy after she was spotted shopping for engagement rings in Los Angeles.

“Mary-Kate has been seen several times in the last three weeks checking out huge engagement rings at the Neil Lane store. She really likes cushion-cut diamonds, and all of the rings she has looked at are over 5 carats,” a source told Page Six.

“She has narrowed it down, but still hasn’t made a final decision.”

Another source said the 27-year-old fashion designer has been looking at platinum-setting rings that were priced at over $100,000.

"I don't think price was an issue," the source said, adding that Sarkozy was not with her during any of her visits to the jewelry stores.

Olsen and Sarkozy have been dating for over a year. When Page Six broke the news of their relationship in May 2012 a source told the magazine the couple was "head over heels" in love.

The half-brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy was previously married to Charlotte Bernard and has two kids. The couple divorced in 2011.

Olsen's rep had no comment about the engagement rumors.
