Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Lea Michele thanked her family and friends for "always being there for [her]" as she was being honored during the L'Oreal Paris Women of Worth 2013 Dec. 3 in New York City.
"I have my amazing family with me. My mom and my dad -- we're just going to do something -- the three of us -- and spend time [together]," Michele told Extra at the event.
"I have the most incredible family. I love my dear friends. They are always there for me and so wonderful. I'm so thankful for them."
The 27-year-old Glee star particularly thanked a former co-star of hers for helping her get through the tragic death of her boyfriend actor Cory Monteith.
"I've got to give a shout out to Miss Amber Riley," she added. "She's the best. I love her so much. I'm so proud of her [and] she's been there for me so much through everything. I'm so thankful this year for those friends and my family."
Michele has also thanked Glee guest star Kate Hudson for helping her deal with the press in the wake of Monteith's death.
Monteith died on July 13 at the age of 31 after consuming a deadly combination of heroin and alcohol.
