Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Amy Adams weighed in on the role her character Lois Lane will have in the forthcoming Batman vs Superman film now that Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman prompting many DC Comics fans to wonder how the female super hero will tie into the storyline.
Asked if she was looking forward to seeing a love triangle between Superman, Wonder Woman and Lois Lane in the Man of Steel sequel, Adams, 39, explained she'd rather team up with the characters in a different way.
“I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we’re not in a love triangle,” she said. "Maybe where we team up together and we work as team mates instead of adversaries."
"Wouldn't it be nice if women weren't always cat fighting and stuff?" she said.
In American Hustle, Adam's character, Sydney Prosser, is involved a sort of love triangle with Christian Bale and Jennifer Lawrence's characters.
The David O. Russell directed film hits theaters Dec. 20. Batman vs Superman is expected for July 2015.
