With big flops such as "Jack & Jill" and "That's My Boy," Adam Sandler was the worst return on investment for big-budget films.

Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Forbes doesn't find Adam Sandler's big paychecks very funny.

The magazine named Sandler the most overpaid actor of 2013, returning a meager $3.40 for every dollar he earned.

The rankings, determined by actors' three most recent films, only reflected films released before June. Unfortunately for Sandler, who bombed with Jack & Jill and That's My Boy, his Grown Ups 2 did very well -- but was released in July, too late to offset his stinkers earlier in the year.

Katherine Heigl is nearly as bad, pulling in just $3.50 for every dollar she makes, followed by Reese Witherspoon ($3.90), Nicholas Cage ($6), Kevin James ($6.10), Denzel Washington ($8.30), Steve Carell ($10), Jennifer Aniston ($10.60), Matt Damon ($10.60) and Ryan Reynolds ($10.70).
