Bob Barker turns 90

The long-time host of "The Price Is Right" will return for a celebration of his 90th birthday on Thursday.

Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Long time host of The Price Is Right Bob Barker is turning 90 and the show is throwing him a birthday bash to remember.

Hosted by the game show's new main man, Drew Carey, the celebration Thursday will welcome the veteran back to his old home.

Fittingly, the show is also kicking off Pet Adoption Week Monday. Barker is a long-time animal rights activist and would remind viewers to "help control the pet population" by reminding them to "have [their] pets spayed or neutered" at the end of the show.

Barker hosted The Price Is Right for 35 years before handing the microphone over to Carey.
