Michelle Pfeiffer: Robert De Niro a great influence on film sets

Michelle Pfeiffer and Dianna Agron open up about their time in the set of "The Family."

Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Michelle Pfeiffer really enjoyed working with Robert De Niro on the set of The Family. She even told reporters that the movie veteran makes cast and crew fell "at ease."

Pfeiffer, 55, co-starred with De Niro, 70, in Luc Besson's film, and according to the former Grease beauty, the actor is a great influence on sets.

''He's a classic example of someone who's iconic and effortlessly puts actors at ease the moment you meet him. You just show up to the set and you're part of a team and working together and supporting each other, and if everybody shows up with that attitude then everybody has a great time and the work is better as well," Pfeiffer said.

But Pfeiffer wasn't the only one with praises for her The Family co-stars. Former Glee starlet Dianna Agron, who also appears in the film, explained both actors were incredibly easy to work with.

''Everybody wants to do a good job and you want to make it believable so that involves speaking to each other, and not just in the scene because that would be really awkward!" said the 27-year-old, adding that other movie stars are not as nice to newcomers like herself.

''I have heard of instances where people are asked not to talk to people, look them in the eye, or not wear purple, and other things like that,'' Agron added.

The Family, a film about a mafia boss and his family, was released in the United Stats in September 2013.
