Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Mitt Romney's third-oldest son, Josh Romney, is facing some social media criticism for posting a Twitter photograph of himself next to a vehicle that crashed into a Utah home after he said he helped save four people from the accident.

The accident happened as Josh, 38, was driving home from Thanksgiving dinner with his wife and children near Holladay, Utah.

He said he exited I-215 South and came to stop at an intersection when a "vehicle traveling at highway speed passed narrowly by my car, through the intersection and into the kitchen of a home across the street.

“I drove to the accident site and entered the home where the car had come to a stop on its side. I opened the driver side door and spoke with the four passengers inside the car. Miraculously, they appeared to have no major injuries. I was able to help each of them get out of the car and lift them down to the ground," he said.

Josh caught flack Friday for posting a photograph of himself grinning alongside the damaged vehicle and home on Twitter with the caption, "Was first on scene to big accident, see pic of car in the house. I lifted 4 people out to safety. All ok. Thankful."

The so-called "humble brag" left a bad taste in some peoples' mouths, the New York Daily News reported.

"Why are you smiling like a tourist at such a horrific scene?" one person asked on social media, the newspaper reported.

"You took and posted a smiley tourist-type photo of it? Bit odd," another said on Twitter.
