Mega Millions sits at $230 million before drawing

Nov. 27 (UPI) -- The Mega Millions pot is up to $230 million, the biggest amount in six months.

The prize, which will be up for grabs during Friday's drawing, has a cash advance of up to $125 million. Tuesday's second prize winner got the game's first-ever $5 million win on the heels of a $3 million win the Friday before.

No one matched all the numbers drawn Tuesday night -- 27, 44, 59, 74 and 75, with a Mega Ball of 3, but five tickets matched the first five numbers.

A Texas ticket won $5 million for also having the $1 Megaplier prize-multiplier option. Because the Megaplier was 5, the usual $1 million prize was multiplied by the number.

Two people won $1 million in New York and Florida and Illiois had one winner a piece.
