Nov. 21 (UPI) -- If you don't already follow Jose Canseco on Twitter, please take the time to do so now. The retired MLB player has a flamboyant disregard for logic that usually makes for amusing reading.

But the one-time slugger might have outdone himself Wednesday with a series of tweets about getting pulled over by Nevada police officers for having goats in the back of his car. Also, those goats were wearing diapers.

It seems Canseco and his girlfriend had gone on a road trip to purchase some fainting goats for an "upcoming fainting goat adventure documentary" alluded to in previous tweets.

But why the diapers?

"Yes everyone my girlfriend Leila &I @ModelLeila bought fainting goats & they were in the car w/ diapers so they don't piss and [expletive] everywhere," Canseco said in a later message.

Canseco's girlfriend, Leila Knight, spoke to the Toronto Star.

“We bought fainting goats … because we both love animals and he really wanted to get some goats,” she said of their new pets, named Coco and Chanel.

“We’ve documented the whole thing and I think we have a bunch of people that want to buy it from us,” she said of the supposed documentary. “If you’re interested, let us know. We have a few contenders.”
