Kelly Clarkson is pregnant

Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Kelly Clarkson told Jay Leno last week that she and husband Brandon Blackstock were trying "like rabbits" to have their first child together.

It looks like all that hard work paid off, because the 31-year-old singer took to Twitter Tuesday with some big news.

"I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited!" Clarkson said. "Best early Christmas present ever :)"

The happy couple tied the knot only a month ago.

Blackstock, Reba McIntire's stepson and Blake Shelton's manager, has two children from a previous marriage -- Savannah, 12, and Seth, 6.
