(UPI) -- Amid the political chaos of yesterday's vote to end the government shutdown and raise the debt ceiling, House stenographer Dianne Reidy took over the microphone and launched into a tirade about God, the Freemasons and partisanship before security scurried her away.

Reidy explained her unexpected rant in an email to Fox News' Chad Pergram Thursday:

For the past 2 and 1/2 weeks, the Holy Spirit has been waking me up in the middle of the night and preparing me (through my reluctance and doubt) to deliver a message in the House Chamber. That is what I did last night.

“My wife is a sweet, level-headed wonderful woman of God. I am proud of her," added her husband Dan.

Reidy elaborated in an interview with the New York Post.

“I’ve never felt better,” she said. “I’m glad that I fulfilled God’s mission for me, absolutely. It lifted a tremendous burden. It was a very hard burden to carry as you can imagine.”

Dan, a Pentecostal Christian, denied concerns that his wife had mental health issues, telling the post: “God was preparing her for this vote last night, because this was kind of the culmination of everything."

Dan also said that his wife had worked as a stenographer in D.C. for nearly 20 years.

"He will not be mocked," Dianne shouted Wednesday night during the House vote.

The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under God. It never was. It never was. Had it been, it would not have been -- the Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons. They go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, lord Jesus Christ.
