(UPI) -- Edgar Wright, who directed "Shaun of the Dead" and "The World's End" must be in the mood for a wise-cracking, relatable "Ant-Man," because sources told Variety this week that Paul Rudd and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are up for the lead.

Slated for a July, 2015 release, "Ant-Man" tells the story of scientist Henry Pym, who uses a chemical substance to change his size and control ants.

Wright, who co-wrote the script with "Attack the Block" director Joe Cornish, has already teased the film with a pre-production photo.

But Gordon-Levitt doesn't appear to have gotten the word yet.

"It's always rumors," Gordon-Levitt told French media outlet Allocine (via The New York Daily News) on Tuesday. "I talk about my future projects, so if you don't hear it from me, it's probably not true."
