It's rare that couples who meet on "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette" make it to the serious wedding planning stage, but season 17's Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici visited "Good Morning America" Monday to announce their January 26 wedding.

Lowe, a 29-year-old from Dallas, got down on one knee to propose to Giudici, 27, last March in Thailand. They've decided to air their January wedding in a special for ABC.

"Hopefully everything goes smoothly," Lowe said of their decision to air the special live -- for the first time in the show's history. "'The Bachelor' is such a cool experience because people at home feel like they know us and they're invested in our relationship. We have no problem sharing the actual wedding with everyone who has been with us so far."

"In case you didn't hear, I'm marrying my best friend @clmgiudici Jan 26th! Oh and it's going to be shot live on ABC so you're all invited," Lowe tweeted Monday. "Thank you all for the kind words!" he added.

"We're overwhelmed by everyone's support of the wedding! Thanks for your well wishes," Giudici tweeted.
