They might not win a game this season, but the winless Jacksonville Jaguars might get in the NFL record books for something other than their poor play.

Las Vegas oddsmakers are so confident that the undefeated Denver Broncos will roll over the Jags on Sunday that they have installed the largest point spread in NFL history.

The 28-point spread for Sunday’s 4:05 p.m. game in Denver is larger than the 26-point margin that the Pittsburgh Steelers were favored by against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their game on Dec. 5, 1976. The Steelers covered the spread and defeated the Bucs 42-0.

The Broncos were involved in one of the highest-scoring games in NFL history on Sunday when they defeated the Dallas Cowboys 51-48. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning completed 33 of 42 passes for 414 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran in another score and is currently on pace to break Tom Brady’s single-season record for touchdown passes.

The Jaguars do enter Sunday’s game with a three-game winning streak against the Broncos, but that probably still isn’t a good enough reason to bet on them.
