Casey Kasem's children have decided to take legal action against their father's wife after allegations that won't let them see their ailing father.

Jean Kasem married the legendary DJ back in 1980, giving birth to their daughter Liberty in 1990. Kasem had three children from his previous marriage to Linda Myers.

Kerri, Julie and Mike Kasem said last week that Jean refuses to allow them to visit their father at his home in Holmby Hills, Calif.

Now 81, the former "America's Top 40" host suffers from Parkinson's disease and "may have early onset Parkinson's dementia," according to court documents obtained by CNN.

TMZ reported Monday that the disgruntled Kasem children threatened Jean with court action over the weekend. When they didn't hear from her, Julie filed for conservatorship over their father's health care.

Court documents allege that Kasem "has been isolated from his daughters, friends and other family" by Jean.

"I don't want any of his money, I don't want his estate, I don't want anything," Julie told the "Today" show last Thursday. "I simply want to see my father on a regular basis ... give him a hug, hold his hand, give him a massage, put a smile on his face. It's that simple."

The siblings said they have known for years that they aren't part of Kasem's will, but were surprised when Jean barred access to him three months ago.

"I don't get it, I don't understand it," Kerri told CNN.
