Lindsey Vonn took time off from supporting boyfriend Tiger Woods at the President's Cup in Dublin, Ohio, to speak to young skiers in Mt. Brighton, Mich., over the weekend.

“It’s fun for me to meet them and hopefully inspire them a little bit to follow their dreams," Vonn said Saturday (via the Detroit Free Press).

Vonn also discussed her relationship with Woods, saying that he understands the pressure of being a professional athlete.

“He understands pressure and he understands, obviously, competing at an extremely high level,” the 28-year-old Olympian said of her pro-golfer boyfriend.

It’s difficult for me going into big events like the Olympics because there’s so much more pressure and media attention, and he gets that every single day. So it’s nice to be able to talk to him about it and we can relate to each other’s lives so well. So I think that’s one of the reasons why we work.

The pro-skier was also positive about her chances at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.

“The course suits me very well. We had a race there two years ago as kind of a test run for the Olympics. It went really well. I was third and it’s a place I feel very comfortable," she said.

Vonn spent most of the weekend cheering Woods and the U.S. team to victory in the President's Cup. Most notably, she befriended Davis Love III's squirrel.
