Just a day after the release of a music video for Britney Spears' "Work Bitch," the 31-year-old shared her thoughts on the video.
Spears called into a radio show Thursday, where she told hosts TJ and Loren that she had director Ben More edit the video to make it less provocative.
"Oh my god, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video then what is actually there," Spears said.
"Like, I cut out half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children, and it's just hard to play sexy mom while you're being a pop star as well," Spears said.
Spears has two children -- Sean Preston, 8, and Jayden James, 7.
She said that if she had more creative control over the video, it would be even less showy -- but she said she trusts More, and that being sexy is just part of her job now.
"A lot of sex goes into what I do," she said.
"But sometimes I would like to bring it back to the old days when there was one outfit through the whole video, and you're dancing the whole video, and there's like not that much sex stuff going on."
Spears also got nostalgic about the beginning of her career, when her biggest hits included "Baby One More Time," which marked its 15th anniversary this year.
"[The videos are] about the dance and it's about being old school. It's like keeping it real and just making it about the dance. I'd love to do a video like that."
