Amanda Bynes has traded the UCLA Medical Center for a celebrity rehab facility in Malibu, Calif.

TMZ reports that the former Nickelodeon star left UCLA's psychiatric facility where she was receiving treatment for her mental illness and is currently at The Canyon, a rehab center that caters to celebrities.

Sources familiar with the situation said Bynes, 27, checked into the rehab center three weeks ago. She reportedly interacts with people very little and rarely leaves the area where she's living.

The "She's The Man" star is allegedly in a "desperate" state as the rehab center is not equipped with the psychiatric facilities available at UCLA.

Sources claim the actress is not wearing a wig and is "paranoid" that paparazzi will find her.

News of Bynes' facility change comes a few days after her DUI case was transferred to a mental-health court after a judge deemed her mentally unfit for trial.

According to TMZ, The Canyon was hit with a big lawsuit in 2011 after an employee sold confidential information about Brooke Muller during her stay.
