Jackie Chan theme park to open in China

Martial artist and actor Jackie Chan has announced a theme park dedicated entirely to himself is under development in China.

The Jackie Chan World Park will be in the Beijing suburb of Yizhuang and will feature five themed areas and cultural exhibitions displaying artifacts Chan has acquired over the years, including four antique Chinese wooden buildings.

Chan confirmed the theme park on Weibo, China's version of Twitter.

"I wanted to buy everything when I was young, but now I want to donate whatever I have," he posted. "One person's happiness can't compare to the joy of all -- only culture lasts forever."

No opening date has been set yet. Entrance into the park will reportedly be free, although certain attractions will have separate ticket prices.

Meanwhile, the world's first Jackie Chan Museum is set to open in Shanghai's Changfeng Ecological Business District this year. The museum will include a gallery of costumes from the 59-year-old actor's four-decade film career. The museum will also house Chan's own movie studio.
