The Buffalo Bills Twitter account posted excitement for overtime without realizing the team had just won. The Bills were down by six points in the fourth quarter until E.J. Manuel led the team 86 yards in 90 seconds.
Buffalo’s final drive of the game ended with a touchdown pass to Stevie Johnson with only two seconds to spare.
With the TD, the Bills tied the Panthers. With the extra point kick, they took the lead, 24-23.
The Bills’ Twitter account got confused amid the chaos and sent out a tweet right after the Bills took the one-point lead, excitedly gearing up for overtime.
A screenshot of the Bills’ tweet (which has since been deleted) implies that even the official account thought a Buffalo win was too good to be true.
