One hour before kickoff against the Denver Broncos, the Baltimore Ravens signed head coach John Harbaugh to a multi-year contract extension.

Harbaugh's current contract was set to run out after two more seasons.

His new contract will replace the two years remaining on his current deal, and tack on another two years -- through the 2016 season -- at a salary of more than $7 million per season.

As Harbaugh comes off a Super Bowl victory, the Ravens are trying to tie him down for the long term. He has a 54-26 record as Ravens head coach for the last five seasons.

With Harbaugh as coach, Baltimore has made it to the AFC Championship three times.
