Lindsay Lohan steps out at New York Fashion Week

Still fresh off the heels of her stint in rehab, Lindsay Lohan hit New York Fashion Week in support of her sister.

Lindsay Lohan skipped the Venice Film Festival last week at the apparent behest of Oprah Winfrey and to the relief of her "Canyons" director Paul Schrader.

But the 27-year-old did attend New York Fashion Week Wednesday to watch her sister, Ali Lohan, walk the runway for Wendy Nichol's Saints of the Zodiac collection.

Lohan, who showed off her cleavage in a revealing black dress, hugged her sister after the show.

Despite reports that the troubled actress had purposefully flaked on her scheduled appearance in Venice, Lohan said August 31 that she decided to stay in New York City to focus on her "health and well-being."

"Along with the positive messages and words of support of 'The Canyons' at VFF, I am sending my own to the cast, producers and the amazing Paul Schrader," she wrote on her website.

I am so grateful for the extraordinary experience of being a part of this film. Unfortunately, I have to clear up these reports. I was never confirmed to attend. Of course, I would have enjoyed returning to that wonderful city and being a part of this amazing event, but my focus is on my health and well-being. Plain and simple, it is of the utmost importance.

Winfrey, who will host Lohan's post-rehab docu-series on her OWN network, has reportedly encouraged Lohan to stay in the U.S. and avoid parties.

A source told the New York Daily News that Lohan turned down numerous invites to appear at Fashion Week events in the interest of her career.

“She’s turned down some good fees, but in the long run, if she keeps this up, she will get her acting career back on track and be taken seriously,” the source said.
