Abby Wambach's world record just got a bit further out of reach for those coming up behind her, as the all-time international scorer added another goal to her career total as the U.S. women's national soccer team walloped Mexico in a 7-0 rout in D.C. Tuesday.
Wambach passed Mia Hamm's 158 goals in June to become the world all time leader -- men and women -- in goals scored in international competition. Tuesday night against Mexico, Wambach tacked on another goal, bringing her total to 161, before ceding the spotlight to teammate Sydney Leroux, who scored four more.
