NBA player Lamar Odom was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Odom, 33, was spotted driving in a "serpentine manner" on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, the California Highway Patrol said. He was arrested at 3:54 a.m. and booked into jail by 5 a.m.
The NBA veteran was seen driving a white Mercedes SUV eastbound on the freeway, zigzagging at speeds of about 50 miles per hour. Authorities tried to pull Odom over, but he continued to drive, passing three exits.
He eventually exited and came to a stop, where police observed "objective signs of intoxication." Police said Odom was "unable to perform field sobriety tests as explained and demonstrated." He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and possibly drugs after multiple field sobriety tests.
The arrest comes amid rumors that Odom is struggling with drug addiction, including a report from last weekend that he was missing after a fight with his wife, Khloe Kardashian, and the recent confirmation that he had a brief stint in rehab in April.
His agent denied the claim, and said that Kardashian knew where Odom was and that he was "not missing."
