Bryan Cranston to play Lex Luthor role in upcoming Superman movie

"Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston will reportedly join Henri Cavil and Ben Affleck in Zack Snyder's upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel.

The 57-year-old actor is said to have signed a six-appearance deal with DC Comics for the film. An official announcement is expected to be made after the conclusion of the the final season of "Breaking Bad."

According to Cosmic Book News, DC comics is rumored to be considering Matt Damon to play Aquaman or Martian Manhunter.

In addition, Mark Strong could join the star studded cast as Green Lantern's mentor Sinestro, who he portrayed in the latest Green Latern film.
