Elisabeth Hasselbeck to make 'Fox & Friends' debut Sep. 16

Former "The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck will make her debut on Fox's morning show "Fox & Friends" on Monday September 16.

According to the news channel, Hasselbeck will join current co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade to interview key news makers, celebrities and politicians. The channel also announced a redesigned "Fox & Friends" set will be unveiled on the day of Hasselbeck's debut.

Hasselbeck announced she was leaving "The View" and moving to Fox in early July.

"I have been a longtime fan of 'Fox & Friends' and am excited to be joining their team in September as it is an honor to call the Fox News Channel my new television home," the 36-year-old television host said of the move.

"Elisabeth's warm and engaging personality made her a star on 'The View,'" Fox CEO Roger Ailes said in a statement. "She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise."

"Fox & Friends" has been on the air for 15 years featuring interviews with numerous celebrities, athletes and political heavyweights as well as musical performances.
