Elizabeth Olsen received critical acclaim for her performance in 2011's "Martha Marcy May Marlene" and she'll make her next appearance in Spike Lee's "Oldboy."

But is the 24-year-old actress and Olsen sibling headed for a surefire blockbuster like "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron"?

Bleeding Cool's Brendon Connelly spoke to sources who said that Marvel and director Joss Whedon are seriously considering Olsen for the role of Wanda Maximof, also known as the Scarlet Witch, after Saoirse Ronan passed on the project.

Aaron Tyler-Johnson, of the "Kick-Ass" franchise, has already signed on to play Maximof's brother, Quicksilver.

"Age of Ultron" is expected to hit theaters in May 2015.
