News that Country trio Lady Antebellum -- Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood -- and rock icon Stevie Nicks would collaborate on an episode of CMT's series Crossroads took the Internet by storm on Monday as viewers anticipate the episode's premiere in September.
According to a CMT press release, the much anticipated episode will debut Friday, September 13 at 10 p.m. The one-hour collaboration was recorded in Sony Pictures' Los Angeles studios back in January and it will feature classic Nicks hits like "Edge of Seventeen," "Landslide," "Rhiannon" and "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," as well as Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," "Love Don't Live Here" and "Golden."
Even though the recordings are made for a live audience, in a feature article about the collaboration, Rolling Stone magazine wrote that the most excited people in the room were the four performers.
"It was hard to tell who was the bigger fan, with both consistently praising the other's work," Steve Baltin wrote of the January encounter. "It started from the very outset: after Nicks apologized for flubbing the opening lines of Lady Antebellum's 'Love Don't Live Here,' Charles Kelley let her know all was forgiven by shouting 'Stevie [expletive] Nicks!'"
While you wait for "CMT CROSSROADS: STEVIE NICKS AND LADY ANTEBELLUM" to premiere on September here a few rap clips from the collaboration.
