Prince sneaks onto Twitter, posts 'selfie'

Prince has begun tweeting under the name of his latest band, 3rdEyeGirl.

After a quick test, Prince tweeted a picture, and much to the disappointment of fans it was not a selfie, but a picture of a plate of salad.

Prince, who has been formerly known otherwise, has released more than 30 albums since 1978, ten of them platinum, including thirty Top 40 singles.

His latest band is described -- just like everything he types, in all capitals -- as "4 HARD-ROCKING, SOFT-SPOKEN, ASTRAL TRAVELING EXPLOSIONS OF AWESOME."

After immediate social media attention, the famously private Paisley Park star got the hang of things and obliged his fans with a "selfie," though it doesn't seem anyone taught him what that means yet.
