Rob Zombie may make noise for a living, but he wants peace and quiet when he comes home.

The 48-year-old and his wife, Sheri, have complained about a skate park near their house in Woodbury, Conn., which was built in part by local kids' fundraising efforts. Sheri attended a town meeting last month, saying that the Hollow Park Skatepark represented a "significant noise pollutant" for the surrounding area. She called the noise "obnoxious."

As a result of the complaints, officials have cut the skate park's hours and are considering a proposal to move it elsewhere.

Some locals, however, see Zombies efforts as selfish. "We petitioned and raised funds for two years to get the skate park built in Woodbury,” one resident said. β€œIt is now in full operation and the kids are loving it, however, now the hours have been cut significantly to keep a very famous neighbor happy."

Zombie discussed the issue in an August 1 post on his Facebook page.

It seems nuts to even have to address this but I guess I will. Some really crazy articles have popped up making claims about "hating skaters" and "hating children." None of this is true and it makes me sick that someone would print such lies.

There is a simple matter going on in which we are trying to find a solution that will make EVERYBODY happy. Unfortunately someone decided to turn it into a whole ugly event. What a bummer.

On Monday, the "kids of the Woodbury skatepark" posted a video message to Zombie on YouTube, saying they had worked hard to raise money for the skate park.

"We know Mr. Zombie supports kids," they say. "We just want to keep our skate park open so we can have fun."
