Beyonce biked over Brooklyn Bridge to get to her concert

Beyonce might be American royalty, but she doesn't always travel in style.

Wearing a star-spangled t-shirt and denim cut-offs, the 31-year-old singer rode a bike to work -- her last performance at Brooklyn's Barclay's Center.

"I biked to Barclays for my last show in Brooklyn!" Beyonce wrote on Instagram Monday, having snapped a series of photos of her journey over the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, a monument that featured prominently in her husband's "Empire State of Mind" music video.

Beyonce isn't the only member of her family to favor less-than-expected forms of transportation. Jay-Z famously rode the subway to Barclay's Center last year, even chatting up an older woman who didn't know he was famous.
