Japanese commuters push train to save passenger [VIDEO]

Dozens of Japanese commuters helped save a 32-year-old woman who fell onto the rails in Saitama, Japan on Monday.

The incident occurred as a woman was trying to exit a train fell and into the gap between the platform and the train.

About 40 bystanders and railway staff members who saw the incident rushed to the 32-ton train carriage to try to move it to fee the woman.

Takashi Tsukahara, a spokesman for train operator JR East, said passengers were able to somewhat sway the 30 metric ton carriage to free the woman, who surprisingly enough, was not seriously injured.

The train resumed operations 8 minutes later.
