See Rachel Bilson's surprising new neck tattoos

Rachel Bilson, best known for playing prissy, materialistic princesses on shows like "The O.C." and "Hart of Dixie," but the 31-year-old actress showed off some seemingly out-of-character tattoos on a trip through LAX on Tuesday.

Wearing a baseball cap, sweatpants and flip flops, Bilson also had four red and green stars inked prominently onto her neck.

So are they real?

Bilson's rep told E! News that the star's tatts are actually "for a role," so we can assume they're not permanent.
