Free-agent Monta Ellis has reportedly come to a deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

Ellis and the Mavs have agreed to terms on a three-year deal that could be as high as $30 million. The actual amount will be determined based on where Dallas ends up with its salary-cap space.

At the very least, Ellis' deal will be in the $25 million range. The deal could be completed as early as today, and would give the Mavs them their biggest off-season player yet.

Ellis joins point guard Jose Calderon and former Mavericks guard Devin Harris in the free signees picked up by the Mavericks' backcourt.

The team as a whole is working to improve their guard spot after failing to convince top free-agents Dwight Howard, Andre Iguodala and Andrew Bynum to come to Dallas.
