Lisa Edelstein in for 'Castle's season 6

Lisa Edelstein, best known for her role as Hugh Laurie's love interest in "House," has been cast in multiple episodes of the popular ABC crime drama, "Castle," TV Line reported on Wednesday.

The 47-year-old actress, who most recently guest starred on shows like "Scandal" and "Elementary," will play a tough-but-talented federal investigator named Rachel McCord.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Edelstein will appear in the sixth season's first episode in this fall. Her character will likely play a role in the storyline surrounding Kate Beckett's (Stana Katic) possible move to Washington, D.C.
