An ad in Belgium is warning people not to give out their financial information, online or by phone, with a prank that goes beyond ordinary credit card theft into full "freak" territory.

Febelfin, "the umbrella federation of the Belgian financial sector," partnered with Golden Lion award-winning ad agency Duval Guillaume Modem to present the story of a creepy bank rep who becomes a customer's friend on Facebook.

He then uses a phishing scam to get the customer's financial information. Not only does he go on an online shopping spree, he gets facial prosthetics to look like the customer, even fooling friends.

Duval Guillaume -- famous for their Push to Add Drama campaign for TNT -- insisted the unsuspecting customer in the commercial was really pranked.

It's doubtful the purchases actually ended up on the poor guy's bank statement, but if he really was pranked through a Facebook friendship by the agency, it should serve as a chilling reminder of "how easily freaks can take over your life."
