Britney Spears to release 'most personal album ever'

Britney Spears wrote that she was "really excited" to introduce her fans to her new music via Twitter on Wednesday.

"Really excited 2 give u a taste of my new album... can't wait 2 share what I've been working on," the former "X Factor" judge wrote. "Going to be my most personal album ever :)"

Spears' message came two days after her new album was voted the most anticipated event of 2013, according to Billboard.

The 31-year-old singer thanked her fans for the honor in a tweet, adding that she now felt a "lot of pressure."

Spears's upcoming record would be the singer's eighth studio album. And though the "...Baby One More Time" singer has not yet given a release date for it, she did put out a new single "Ooh La La" on Jun 17.
