Katherine Webb not engaged, still dating AJ McCarron

Katherine Webb's hand has sparked some sparkle speculation.

Miss Alabama USA 2012 was spotted wearing a big ring on her finger without thinking about her nationally-famous relationship with University of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron.

Their relationship is going strong, however, and she promised to announce her engagement when it happens.

"You guys will know what then that time comes," Webb said. "Right now, I'm really just focusing on doing more charity work."

Webb will appear at the Regions Tradition in Birmingham, Ala., a benefit for the Children's Hospital of Alabama and a handful of other charities.

Webb got national attention during the BCS National Championship while cheering on McCarron, when a wide-eyed ESPN analyst Brent Musberger lost his composure while she was on screen.

Musberger was suspended for his comments.

Since that appearance, she has landed an appearance on ABC's "Splash" and in the 2013 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
