Jennifer Love Hewitt announces engagement to expectant father

Just after Jennifer Love Hewitt just announced she is expecting a baby, she has other exciting news to share.

The actress is newly engaged to Brian Hallisay, the father of her baby, according to Perez Hilton.

The couple started dating a little more than a year ago, and Hallisay proposed in May, while the two were on vacation in Europe.

Hallisay and Hewitt met on the set of NBC's "Love Bites" and now star together on "The Client List."

Hallisay, 34, studied at Cornell and became an investment banker before going into acting, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Hewitt is reported to be about three months along, according to USA Today. The couple has not yet set a date for their nuptials.
